Inside the BAP Newsletter May 2026

Welcome to the BAP Newsletter May 2026 — your monthly roundup of news, events, and member highlights from the Biltmore Area Partnership.

Since 1994, the Biltmore Area Partnership (BAP) has brought together proactive business owners, property owners, and civic leaders from across Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor. Together, we stay informed on the events, community news, and environmental issues shaping the Biltmore area — and we work to promote, protect, and preserve what makes this neighborhood one of Phoenix’s most connected and vibrant places to live, work, and do business.

Thank you for being part of it. Your continued support and membership drive everything we do.

Message from the BAP Board of Directors:

The Board is pleased to welcome our newest member to the Biltmore Area Partnership: Fox Restaurant Concepts.

Founded in Phoenix in 1998, Fox Restaurant Concepts is one of the most recognizable names in Arizona hospitality — the creative force behind beloved brands like North Italia, Flower Child, The Henry, Culinary Dropout, and many more. Their addition strengthens BAP’s long tradition of uniting the Biltmore area’s most influential business leaders around a shared commitment to community, craft, and Camelback Corridor character.

Please join us in welcoming Fox Restaurant Concepts to the Biltmore Area Partnership family.

Amplifying Community Voices Through Strategic Partnership

A message from Joan Trueman, Director of Sales & Marketing, Stroll Biltmore

As we move into the vibrant spring season, there is a renewed sense of energy and opportunity throughout the Biltmore area. It is a time when our community continues to grow, connect, and support one another in meaningful ways. The Biltmore Area Partnership has long stood as a pillar of that collaboration, bringing together leaders and businesses committed to strengthening the fabric of our neighborhood.

At Stroll Biltmore, we share that same mission. Our publication was created to share stories about the residents, businesses, and leaders who make this community so exceptional. Each month, we have the privilege of delivering a highly curated, beautifully designed magazine directly into the homes of Biltmore residents — creating a trusted space where local businesses and neighbors can connect in an authentic and impactful way.

We are proud to work alongside many members of the Biltmore Area Partnership and value the alignment between our audiences. As a way to continue fostering these relationships, we extend a preferred partnership opportunity to fellow members who would like to increase their visibility within the community.

BAP members receive exclusive, preferred pricing when partnering with Stroll Biltmore — an opportunity to elevate your brand presence while maintaining a strategic, cost-effective approach to local marketing. More importantly, it is a chance to appear in a publication that is genuinely trusted by the residents it serves. In a world of constant digital noise, meaningful, high-quality print still holds a powerful place — especially within a close-knit community like ours.

Being present in Stroll Biltmore is more than advertising. It’s about becoming part of the story.

With gratitude,
Joan Trueman

A Phoenix landmark, an Italian aperitivo, and a view that still stops conversation.

Perched above the Biltmore Corridor, The Wrigley Mansion continues to be one of Phoenix’s most iconic gathering places — and one of its best sunset views. Celebrating National 529 Day and Financial Literacy Across Arizona

Greetings Biltmore Area Partnership Members,

Later this month, Treasurer Kimberly Yee will be celebrating National 529 Day on May 29 with a very special surprise. May 29th is dedicated to raising awareness about the benefits of saving for future education expenses through a 529 plan.

Since Treasurer Yee began administering the AZ529 Education Savings Plan in 2019, 70,472 new accounts have been opened — a clear sign that more Arizona students and families are actively investing in their future higher education. This growth reflects a deeper understanding of the importance of financial planning for education.

As National 529 Day is celebrated, it’s important to encourage Arizona families to take advantage of an AZ529 plan. By starting the saving process early, families can ease the financial burden of higher education and pave the way for future generations to pursue their dreams without overwhelming debt. For more information, visit AZ529.gov.

In April, Treasurer Yee had the pleasure of joining AZ Public Media (an NPR affiliate) with hosts Nicole Cox and Linda O’Bryon for a special Financial Literacy Month episode to discuss financial literacy efforts and the AZ529 Education Savings Plan.

As always, if you or your organization requires assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the Arizona Treasurer’s Office at (602) 542-7800 or aztreasury.gov/contact.

Sincerely,
Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee

📷 Photo Safety Cameras in the Biltmore Area

Phoenix’s Photo Safety program places traffic-enforcement cameras on roadways with high rates of collisions, as well as in school zones. The program is a reminder that the only safe speed is the posted speed limit.

Visit Phoenix – May 2026 Events 🎉

The Biltmore Area is part of one of the country’s most dynamic visitor destinations. Each month, Visit Phoenix shares experiences, itineraries, and community partnerships that bring the city to life for residents and guests alike. Here’s what’s worth discovering this May.

🐎 Float the Salt River — A Phoenix Tradition

Tubing the Salt River is one of the most iconic ways to experience the Sonoran Desert. Float quietly past towering saguaros, keep an eye out for wild horses grazing on the banks, watch herons and kingfishers skim the water, and let the slow current do the rest. It’s a Phoenix tradition every summer — and a perfect Arizona-resident weekend reset.

This year, Visit Phoenix and Visit Mesa are celebrating the Salt River with a limited-edition graphic tee and tank. A portion of proceeds from every shirt sold is donated to Natural Restorations, the nonprofit that removes trash, graffiti, and anything foreign to the environment on the Salt River — keeping this Phoenix tradition wild and beautiful for the next generation.
