Message From the BAP Board of Directors
What a difficult year we have all been through, perhaps the toughest of years for some. Certainly, 2020 has been the most challenging year for the BAP since its founding in 1994. For some of you, the pandemic has threatened your very operation.
Realizing the obstacles you have faced this year, the BAP Board of Directors is especially thankful for your continued support.
As you know, the BAP has adapted to the times by having speakers appear via Zoom. Thanks to you, attendance has nearly matched that of our in-person luncheons. But we all miss the in-person interaction. After all, that was a big reason why the BAP was created more than a quarter century ago.
Be assured that we will resume in-person luncheons as soon as that’s considered safe.
The BAP Board of Directors wishes you all the very best for the new year. We are all ready to turn the page of 2020 and to start fresh with 2021.
We look forward to seeing everyone virtually, and, better yet, in person!
BAP Zoom Meeting/Luncheons
We have scheduled a Zoom meeting with Arizona State Treasurer Yee for January 26, 2021. Invite for this Zoom meeting will be going out on Monday, January 11, 2021
Camelback High School
Hello BAP Members!
We hope that this email finds you well. We will be sending a follow up email with an invite to our next community meeting but I wanted to share a new initiative we have recently launched. “Camelback Chats” is our version of TED Talks, we thought that in a virtual world we should take advantage of classrooms “without walls” and get our students access to experienced, enthusiastic, and successful speakers from across the valley and around the country!
Our first “Camelback Chat” was hosted on December 1st by one of our own, Mr. Sentari Minor, and it was a great success. We will continue this program weekly and are looking for more speakers! If you or anyone you know would like to speak to our students and connect them with a passion or a story that changes their life, then we would love to talk with you!
Attached is a document explaining “Camelback Chats” in case you want to share it with your network. Camelback Chats Speaker Info (1).pdf
Thank you to this community and hoping to see you at our meetings.
WE ARE THE SHIELD!

Carla Hancock/Bay Equity
Mortgage News Update by Member, Carla Hancock with Bay Equity Home Loans:
Conventional Loan Amount Maximum increased for 2021 – the Conforming Loan Limit is now $548,250. What does this mean for you, the Consumer, more Purchase or Refinance capability/‘Power’ without the hassle of requiring ‘Jumbo’ financing and the sometimes “tedious” guidelines and timeframes that can go along with Jumbo Financing.
And, one more reminder: it doesn’t always take 20% down payment to get a great interest rate or overall monthly house payment. There can be very reasonable Mortgage Insurance Premiums for 3%, 5%, 10, and 15% down payment scenarios just depending on the overall Credit Profile. Please seek advise from a Mortgage Professional when looking at Mortgage Loan Options that best meet your needs. And, of course, I would love to be your Consultant when you have a mortgage need. Happy New Year to all of you – may 2021 brings us peace, hope, joy, and love to everyone!

Seasons 52 At The Biltmore
See how every experience here gives back to your community. It’s always the season g=for Giving. At Seasons 52, we’re fortunate enough to serve Guests like you every day, but we’re also proud to “harvest” what isn’t used in our kitchen. Since 2007, these daily donations have added up to 787,000 pounds of food. Our donations are used by foodbanks, shelters, and other charitable organizations through our Harvest program. We give back by giving, and each 1.2 pounds of food donated is equivalent to one meal, meaning we’ve provided over 650,000 meals.
We’ve partnered with iconic winemaker, Paul Hobbs, to be the exclusive outlet for Farmer’s Project Crossbarn Chardonnay. With flavors of sweet oak spice and ripe fruit, a portion of each bottle sold is donated to support sustainable farming initiatives in California, home to so many of this country’s finest wineries.
Cheers To You Each time you dine at Seasons 52, you help us support those throughout your community.
